While we were in Venice it poured on us. St. Marks Square was flooded and we had to walk on platforms to get anywhere. It was crazy to see how much water filled the square and to think that it has been doing that for years. I can not imagine having to mop out my store every time the water rises.

The floating market in Curacao was amazing. There were so many spices that I had never heard of. It was fun walking down the waterfront checking out what was for sale. I had to laugh when we saw the boxes of Washington Apples for sale. I should have stopped to see how much they cost.

While we were taking pictures of the rainbow we realized that there were Beluga Whales in the water right near where we were standing. They came close to the shore and checked us out for a few minutes.

I really enjoyed our trip to Alaska. I hope we can make it back there soon.

This crazy huge pelican was crazy. People kept walking up and petting him. I heard later that he is considered the town mascot. I know that pelicans do not have teeth but I was still staying a few feet back.

I love this picture from Rome. We were riding in an open top bus and I shot the picture while we stopped at a street light. I loved all of the statues and structures in Rome. I could spend days there taking pictures and exploring. I would have to stop myself from eating all of the Gelato that I could want though.

This Puffer Fish was so curious. I had to move backwards because he kept trying to get closer to the camera. At one point he touched his mouth to my scuba mask. It was really odd to be that up close and personal with it. I was amazed at how much time it took swimming around us and looking at the camera.

I was amazed when I first saw Bryce Canyon. I was not sure what I was expecting but I was not prepared for how grand and amazing the view is.

This picture was taken at this amazing wildlife rehab center we went to while visiting Alaska. I am happy to say there was a fence between me and the bear. I probably would not have taken the photo if there wasn't.

We love visiting Glacier National Park. I think it may be one of my favorite National Parks. I could spend days driving back and forth on the Going To Sun Road.  We have camped here a couple of times and it is really peaceful. The campsites are spacious and really quiet at night.

We visited Greece on our honeymoon. We were only in Athens for a day. I would love to go back and spend more time exploring Athens. The food we had was amazing. John has been hooked on Greek food ever since we were there.

I did not have to travel very far for this photo. Palouse Falls was one of the parks that John used to work in. It is located a couple of hours from Spokane. The falls are in the middle of no where. All of a sudden you see this amazing water fall surrounded by rocks and cliffs.

We went to Iceland a couple of years ago and loved it! I was so amazed at how beautiful the scenery is. This photo was taken mid morning when the sun was starting to come up.

I took this picture at our favorite bakery in South Point on the Big Island of Hawaii. The bakery makes the most amazing Lilikoi pasties I have every tasted. Every time we are in Hawaii I stock up on the pastries and try to make them last as long as I can (which is not very long since they taste amazing). There are lizards running all over the grounds.

This is probably one of my favorite pictures ever that I have taken while traveling. I was so excited to see a Purple Galinule up close. I was pretty giddy when the Galinule stayed around for a while and I was able to take its picture.

We spent a day in St. John while on our last Caribbean cruise. The underwater snorkeling trail is amazing. I can't wait to go back and explore more of the island.
