FREE Credit report

www.annualcreditreport.com allows you to request a free credit file disclosure, commonly called a credit report, once every 12 months from each of the nationwide consumer credit reporting companies: Equifax, Experian and TransUnion. AnnualCreditReport.com is the official site to help consumers to obtain their free credit report.

I suggest checking your credit at minimum once a year. The last time I checked mine I found out that I was sent to collections for someone else gas bill and cell phone. The company clicked on the wrong social security number and my credit was affected. I had to dispute each of the charges to get them cleared off my report. I now check my report at least quarterly to make sure there are no other random charges.
