John surprised me this summer with a day at Riverfront Park. We had a great day riding the carrousel, feeding the paper eating goat, taking the Spokane Falls Skyride and soaking up the sun. I think this Groupon would make a great stocking stuffer or family day out!
Here is some more information!
Before horse carousels became children’s rides, they were used to train cavalry to evade the enemy by riding in circles. Cruise in clever circles with today’s Groupon for two day-passes to Riverfront Park, located in downtown Spokane. Choose one of the following options:
• For $13, you get two winter day passes, which are good through February 27, 2011 (a $27.50 value).
• For $16, you get two summer day passes, which are good through September 5, 2011 (a $32.50 value).
With dozens of attractions sprinkled across 100 acres of land, Spokane's Riverfront Park provides festive families with year-round activities and entertainment. With the two winter passes deal, you and a friend get admission and skate rental to the Ice Palace, admission to a regular IMAX film, and a round of tropical mini-golf in the Enchanted Forest. You'll also get two rides each on the Looff Carrousel, a historic 1909 ride with 54 wood-carved horses, one giraffe, one tiger, one William H. Taft, and two Chinese dragon chairs.
With the summer pass deal, you'll get one IMAX regular feature, plus unlimited admission on several of the park's carnival rides, including the Carrousel and mini-golf. Fire your watery cannon on the bumper boats, or build an intricate model of the HMS Agamemnon while spinning on the Tilt-A-Whirl. Visitors can check out the raging rapids of Spokane Falls or hop on the gondola cars of the Spokane Falls SkyRide for a bird's eye view of the park.
