$5 for $10 Worth of Bistro Fare at Jupiter Bistro in Rocket Market - Spokane

$5 for $10 Worth of Bistro Fare at Jupiter Bistro in Rocket Market

Old-fashioned marketplaces are making a comeback due to an increased demand for local foodstuffs, open-air dining, and warmhearted English street urchins. Dine like Dickens with today's Groupon: for $5, you get $10 worth of bistro fare at Jupiter Bistro in Rocket Market.

Each day, Jupiter Bistro's head chef, Shilo Pierce, transforms the fresh and local foods at Rocket Market into a menu of improvised daily delicacies. Rocket Market's formidable food foragers stock the shop's shelves with the area's tastiest comestibles, plucking basil, kale, lettuce, and arugula from C & S Hydrohuts, wrangling eggs, beef, and lamb from Rocky Ridge Ranch, and extracting delectable local honey from Pooh Bear's secret flask.

Once ingredients are gathered, Jupiter Bistro spins them into a gastronomic utopia of paninis, soups, quiches, gourmet mac 'n' cheese platters, breakfast burritos, and more, available à la carte, in made-to-order entrees, or by the pound. Though the menu changes daily, recent offerings include citrus-roasted quinoa brussel sprouts ($8.99/lb.), ham, crisp apple & brie panini ($5.99), and coffee-BBQ chicken breast ($4.99), made with locally roasted coffee.

Make Jupiter Bistro a dinner-date destination during the market's live, outdoor summer concert series. Starting in May, bands will serenade the marketplace every Tuesday and Saturday evening, allowing patrons to impress tablemates by remixing Peter Gabriel covers with their own masticatory backbeats.
