Spokane County Library One World, Many Stories Summer Programs - Teens

Here is a list of some of the fantastic free programs the Spokane County Library District is having this summer for teens!

Yoga and Yogurt
Stretch, breathe, relax… then make yummy yogurt smoothies!

Wii are Gaming
Get your game on! Grab your favorite Wii games (rated E for everyone or T for Teen only, please) or board games and come to the library for an afternoon of games and snacks. We provide the Wii, the munchies and a few games to share, and you bring your friends!

Get Medieval at the Library
Do you have what it takes to be a knight? Find out from the Knights of Veritas! Learn about the Code of Chivalry, watch thrilling demonstrations of medieval combat, handle weapons and try on armor.

Drawing Manga 101
Learn about manga (Japanese comic art) and get some drawing tips from award-winning local artist Makayla Miracle. There’ll be snacks, contests and prizes. Bring your imagination and we’ll provide the art supplies!

TWINE
Hear ye, all young literary savants! We invite you to join TWINE, Teen Writers of the Inland Empire, as it debuts in our libraries this summer. We’ll provide an inventive selection of creative-writing games and activities—we’ll even provide the pen and paper—to fully inspire you and your fellow ink slingers. Write on!
