Spokane Chiefs Outdoor Hockey Classic - FREE practice TODAY at Avista Stadium


This upcoming Saturday the 15th the Spokane Chiefs are playing in the Rockstar Outdoor Hockey Classic at Avista Stadium. If you are unable to attend the game but would love to check out this event the Chiefs are offering FREE admission to their training session on Thursday!

Fans are also invited to watch the Chiefs practice at Avista Stadium on Thursday, January 13th at 1:00. It will be the only time the team will get the chance to skate on the ice prior to the Saturday game. Practice is free and open to the public.


The Chiefs are also opening up the rink for the general public to come out and skate. There is a small admission fee and each person needs to sign a waiver.

Here is some information on the open skate
All fans who participate in the skate at Avista Stadium on Friday, January 14th will be required to fill out a waiver prior to skating. The Chiefs are holding an open skate as part of the festivities leading up to the Rockstar Outdoor Hockey Classic. The Chiefs will host the Kootenay Ice the following day in the WHL's first ever outdoor hockey game. Fans can download a waiver by clicking on the Spokane Chiefs website.

For children under the age of 18, a parent or guardian must fill out the waiver.

The Chiefs will hold two different sessions, from 4:00-5:30 and from 6:00-7:30 on Friday night, and allow fans to skate on the ice.

Children 12 and under can enter the gates for $3 while all others can enter for $5.
A select amount of skates will be provided by Eagles Ice-A-Rena. Fans are encouraged to bring their own.
